보라, 그 날들 그 때에 내가 유다와 예루살렘의 포로된 자들을 유다와 예루살렘으로 돌아오게 하리라(요엘 3:1).

그 때에 내가 모든 민족을 불러모아, 그들을 여호사밧 골짜기로 데리고 내려가서, 그들이 내 백성과 내 소유된 이스라엘에게 저지른 일을 두고서, 내가 거기서 그들을 심판하겠다. 그들이 나의 백성을 여러 나라들 가운데 흩어버렸으며 나의 땅을 갈라 놓았음이라.(2)

보라 수많은 사람들이 모여 있다! 심판의 골짜기에 수많은 사람들이 모여 들었다! 이는 여호와의 날이 가까이 이르렀기 때문이다(14).

해와 달이 어두워지고 별들이 빛을 잃는다(15).

여호와께서 시온에서 포효하시고 예루살렘에서 큰 목소리를 내시니, 하늘과 땅이 흔들리리라. 그러나 여호와께서 자기 백성에게는 피난처가 되시고 이스라엘 자손에게는 요새가 되시리라(16).

포로되었던 주의 백성들이 예루살렘으로 돌아옵니다.

주의 백성을 대적하는 세상 민족들도 예루살렘의 골짜기로 모여듭니다.

하늘의 군대들도 예루살렘으로 내려와 모입니다.

주의 백성과 이스라엘에 대해서 악하게 했던 모든 것에 대한 심판을 집행하시는 하나님께서는

주의 백성과 이스라엘에게는 피난처와 요새가 되어주십니다.

세상 나라들이 참 이스라엘과 참 교회를 향하여 했던 악한 말들과 거친 행위들과 불의한 결정들에 대해서 심판을 받을 것입니다. 여호사밧 골짜기에서.

Behold, in those days I will bring back the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem to Judah and Jerusalem (Joel 3:1).

In those days I will gather all the nations, and I will bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat, and I will judge them there for what they have done to my people and to Israel my possession. For they have scattered my people among the nations and have divided my land.(2)

Behold, a great multitude is gathered! A great multitude is gathered in the valley of judgement, for the day of the LORD draws near.(14)

The sun and moon are darkened, and the stars lose their light (15).

The LORD will roar from Zion and raise a loud voice from Jerusalem, and the heavens and the earth will shake; but the LORD will be a refuge for his people and a fortress for the children of Israel (16).

Your people in captivity will return to Jerusalem.

The nations of the world who oppose your people gather in the valleys of Jerusalem.

The armies of heaven also descend on Jerusalem to join this great gathering.

God executes judgement on all that has been done wickedly against your people and Israel.

But You are a refuge and fortress for your people and Israel.

The nations of the world will be judged for their evil words, harsh deeds, and unrighteous decisions they have made against the true Israel and the true congregations, in the Valley of Jehoshaphat.

8 For the LORD of Heaven’s Armies says to me that for his own glory he has sent me to the nations that plundered you – for anyone who touches you touches the pupil of his eye. 9 “Yes, look here, I am about to punish them so that they will be looted by their own slaves.” Then you will know that the LORD of Heaven’s Armies has sent me. 10 “Sing out and be happy, Zion my daughter! For look, I have come; I will settle in your midst,” says the LORD. 11 “Many nations will join themselves to the LORD on the day of salvation, and they will also be my people. 13 주님, 일어나셔서 시온을 긍휼히 여겨 주십시오. 때가 왔습니다. 시온에 은혜를 베푸실 때가 왔습니다.
